The Pump Audio Cue Sheet Tool will allow you import the program data from your Avid, Final Cut, or Pro Tools EDL, and generate a formatted Cue Sheet document complete with Writers, Publishers, and the corresponding Performance Rights Societies - freeing you to move on to better things.

To use it, just have your editor export the EDL for each episode in the correct format - CMX3600 or Pro Tools track EDL with no cross fades - and email you the resulting files.

Log on to the Cue Sheet Tool's online interface, where the application will ask you to enter some information about the project you are working on and will then prompt you to upload the corresponding EDL file. You can even simply cut-and-paste individual Track ID titles into the interface if you don't have the properly formatted EDL file - it is that simple!

The entire cue sheet for that episode will then be automatically parsed for track titles, in/out points, and durations. Behind the scenes, we do a real-time lookup in our music catalog database that returns all of the most up-to-date Writer, Publisher, and Performing Rights Societies (PRS) for each track. The results are formatted into an easy-to-use display and appear before you almost instantly!

You can then view and download the cue sheet directly to your computer as either an Excel file or a Word file. Or you can edit your entire cue sheet online, save it to the Cue Sheet Manager and then download it as an Excel or Word file.

Supported EDL formats

The EDL file formats that we currently support include CMX-3600 and ProTools. If you have trouble with your uploaded EDL file, be sure it is in standard text format and includes the filenames in the clip titles. We use the original Pump Audio filename to determine the track ID to look up for usage reporting information. For more information about EDLs click here.
